Harrison methods are a well kept Trade Secret for nearly 10 years. Here are some of the common techniques Harrison utilizes in order to create the "Very Best" in Custom Harmonicas

Marine Band

Reeds are treated on a molecular level to remove or realign stress. This frees up the reeds to vibrate more freely, just as important, giving the instrument a greater life at maximum output. This process is a highly guarded trade secret!
Reeds are strategically arched for the best possible output and playability for all types of playing styles. All "Harrison Custom Harmonicas" are set up for overblows/draws. No extra charge for an overblow/draw Instrument.
Reeds are "Custom Fit" to each reed slot using special tools created by Harrison
Reed Plates are retro fit to the comb to ensure an "Airtight Seal", aiding in the control of air flow.
After the customization is complete, the harmonica is reassembled with Hex Bolts. Hex bolts are used to ensure the driver (screw) doesn't slip off the screw and slide into the reed slot.
Cover Plates are reworked for maximum volume. Opened in the back and contoured on the lower octave for reed clearance. This is for several reasons; reed clearance on the bottom octave and because it offers the player a grip-like feeling towards the back of the instrument. Please note: Not all keys are contoured on the bottom octave, this technique is used for "C" and lower keyed harmonicas.
All instruments are tuned using a Peterson Auto Strobe 490 Tuner
All harmonicas are tuned to a Compromising Tuning.
Equal Temperament tuning is available too!
