Years before creating Harrison Custom Harmonicas, LLC Harrison became a harmonica student of Joe Filisko, where he was introduced and further inspired by the dramatic improvements made by Joe's customized harmonicas. Although Harrison's study under Filisko was solely for the purpose of aquiring musical technique, he regards the moments of his privileged internship as "magical", and maintains the highest regards for his mentor. Harrison has studied the works of De Ford Bailey, Gwen Foster, Rod Piazza, Mark Ford, Sugar Blue, John Popper, and the brilliance of Howard Levy, to name a few. This enables Brad to develop harmonicas that are flexible in a variety of styles and techniques.

Most recently, Harrison consulted Suzuki Harmonica MFG located in Japan. Harrison has visited the Suzuki Factory as a consultant on numerous occasions, offering his expertise on the subject of harmonica building. Harrison decided to end his consulting relationship with Suzuki for the purpose of Mass Producing his own line of Diatonic Harmonicas. Harrison has several Patents pertaining to the Harmonica and is working diligently to produce these on a Mass Production level.
